Henson: Door open for Welshman

Welsh international centre Gavin Henson could form part of the British & Irish Lions tour to Australia in 2013.

This is according to former Scotland and Lions ace Andy Irvine, who will manage the tour Down Under.

After taking a break from rugby and spending 18 months on the sidelines, 28-year old Henson recently joined English outfit Saracens.

But Irvine says Henson still has a long way to go in order to get back to the form which saw him win Grand Slams with Wales in the Six Nations Championship in 2005 and 2008.

"He really needs to get his head sorted out and get into physical shape because he's been out of the game for a long time now," Irvine told BBC Sport Wales.

"If he gets sorted he could potentially come into the reckoning again.

"An awful lot depends on what [Henson] wants to do.

"He really has to show he seriously means business and that rugby is his first priority."

I say he should go. He could do a wicked ballroom dance at the opening of the first match, and in Australia he could get a real tan and stop wasting money on all the spray tans.

Okay, so we call this plucking at straws. Henson isn't going to make it out of the Saracens(cause someone is going to hurt him) and where the ll is he gonna play on Wales? Let alone play well enough to make the Lions.

Hang on he hasn't even played for Saracens yet let alone Wales. He should be treated like every other player trying to gain a spot in the Welsh squad. He chose to leave rugby and now he should have to start from the bottom.
