2013 Lion: Guy Richardson
The British & Irish Lions have announced the appointment of former Scotland team manager Guy Richardson as director of operations for the tour of Australia.
Richardson stepped down from his role with Scotland in July having taken up the job in 2004, during which time he oversaw all the national team's Six Nations, autumn international, summer tour and Rugby World Cup fixtures.
He has previous Lions experience having been seconded from the Scottish Rugby Union to become logistics officer for the tour to South Africa last year.
Richardson also served with the Royal Scots (the Royal regiment) for 20 years during his military career, reaching the rank of Major.
"We are delighted to have Guy on Board and are convinced he will be a great asset to the Lions," said Lions chief executive John Feehan.

I know it's only been a little over a year since the last one but I cannot wait to see whose names get read out for the next squad. It'd be nice if more Scots put their hands up and forced their way into the team. Johnnie Beattie, Richie Gray, Ross Ford again...I can't wait.
