Uganda hosts U19 qualifier

Uganda is hosting six countries at a Confederation of African Rugby Under-19 tournament in Kampala. The winner will take part in the 2008 International Rugby Board's Under-20 World Championship in Wales.

The teams are divided into two groups:

Group 1: Zimbabwe, Morocco Namibia, Tunisia
Group 2: Uganda, Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire

Madagascar were to have taken part but withdrew.

The winner of Group 1 will play in the IRB's tournament. The winner of Group 2 will play in the Under-19 Africa Cup.

Four of the Namibian team took part in the Craven Week in Stellenbosch last week. They are Erik Burger (Hoërskool Windhoek), Lezhanne Alcock (HTS Windhoek), Theo Coetzee (Hoërskool Windhoek) and Cedric Haraseb (Hoërskool Swakopmund),
