French referee Christophe Berdos will referee his first European final when he takes charge of the all-England European Challenge Cup showdown between Bath and Worcester Warriors at Kingsholm on Sunday, May 25.

This will be the 38-year-old full-time international official's 33rd European match.

Berdos made his debut as a referee in 1988 and refereed his first Test match, between Samoa and Tonga, in 2006.

Berdos refereed his first Six Nations Championship match in February 2008 when he was in charge of the game between Ireland and Scotland at Croke Park, Dublin.

The Frenchman has refereed 21 Heineken Cup matches and 11 European Challenge Cup matches.
