Barbarian Bow: Thomas accepts summer invite

Lawrence Dallaglio and Gareth Thomas could join forces in a Barbarians jersey this summer.

The well-known duo are amongst a host of big-name stars invited on the club's annual summer tour, which includes clashes against England, Ireland and Belgium.

Cardiff Blues man Thomas has already accepted his debut invitation to the side, who will be coached by Blues coach Dai Young.

And Wasp Dallaglio is one of many invitees set to wear the colours once again.

Other invitees include Wallabies Chris Latham and Stephen Larkham, Leinster playmaker Felipe Contepomi, South Africa prop Ollie Le Roux, hooker Mark Regan and French number-eight Sebastien Chabal.

While the Barbarians await responses from those big names, Scarlets once-capped All Blacks centre Regan King has already accepted his call.

The tour begins with a fixture against a Belgian XV in Brussels on Saturday 24 May, followed by Ireland at Kingsholm on Wednesday 27 May, with the tour ending at Twickenham on Sunday 1 June against the English.
