Guyan joins Bath management team

Wednesday 02nd July 2008

Bath have announced that Dave Guyan has been appointed as the new Team Manager at the club.

Guyan joins Bath from Saracens where he held a similar role last season. He succeeds previous stand-in Team Manager Martin Haag who has joined the RFU as a National Academy Coach in the Elite Rugby Department.

Guyan arrives at the club with a wealth of man management experience and knowledge of professional rugby from his time at Saracens and 25 years in the Royal Navy. He is also an RFU Level 3 Coach.

"I am from the West Country originally and have a strong affiliation to the club. The opportunity came for me to move back closer to home and to continue my career as Team Manager at a club steeped in so much history," said Guyan.

"I am looking forward to being part of Bath Rugby at an important time for the club both on and off the field."

Shaun Edwards hands out the orders as Wales warm-up at the Millennium Stadium. A sickening clash of heads in the opening minute sees both Stirling Mortlock and Jamie Roberts hurt. Mortlock is taken from the field immediately, whilst Roberts plays on for 15 minutes with a fractured skull.
