Joe Ward: Guilty of fighting London Irish

David Paice and Joe Ward both received one-week suspensions at an RFU disciplinary hearing on Wednesday.

Paice (London Irish) and Ward (Wasps) were both cited for striking an opponent in the Guinness Premiership match between the sides at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday, March 16.

Wasps won the encounter 22-16.

They were suspended from March 26 to April 1 inclusive and will be free to play again on April 2.

The case was heard by a panel of His Honour Judge Jeff Blackett (chairman), Peter Budge and Michael White.
