The Free State Cheetahs received a boost on Friday with the news that star loose forward Heinrich Brussow has extended his contract.

The Cheetahs will be buoyed by the news ahead of Saturday's Currie Cup clash against Western Province at Vodacom Park.

Bloemfontein sport agent Stephan Weyers confirmed that Heinrich Brussow will remain a Cheetah till at least October 2010.

Brussow, who is many a pundits' tip to become the Springboks next 'fetcher', was rumoured to be on the move, with both the Sharks and WP interested in his services.

Brussow's decision to stay in the Free State again underlines the Cheetahs players' confidence in Naka Drotské as coach
